as you probably have seen in the net the Headless Cross USA
Tour has been cancelled. We rehearsed in Birmingham and were
ready to go out and Rock (the Band sounded amazing),
but the american "promoter" made it impossible for us to do so.
We had a great time in Birmingham and now I'm back starting
to move my studio into a bigger place. It will be located in a factory
building close to the centre of town. Not too far away from my old
place actually. The room here was lovely but simply too small for
the actual needs. There are more and more Bands recording here
and I needed to improve my and their place of work.
I've been asked to play guitar on two projects at the end of this year
and I'm looking forward to do so. More details about that later.
On the 12th of september I'm going to switzerland to celebrate
the release of the new Tribal album "Corner of a circle" which will
be released one day before that.

Black-Sabbath.com, former SABBATH singer Tony Martin will celebrate the 20th
anniversary of the release of the BLACK SABBATH album "Headless Cross" by
touring the U.S. in July and August. Martin's band, which will also be
called HEADLESS CROSS, will consist of the following musicians:

Rolf Munkes (EMPIRE) - Guitar
Jamie Mallender - Bass
Danny Needham (BAILEY'S COMET, RAZORBACK) - Drums

Commented Martin: "'It's really THE TONY MARTIN BAND, and that's what we
enter the States as, but the promoter has got itchy fingers, I think, and
decided it's better to use the album title. I'm not ENTIRELY happy with it
just because, but I decided to run with it.
He continued, "So the idea is to commemorate 20 years since 'Headless Cross'
and I can reveal that some of the songs have NEVER been done live before...
like 'Black Moon'... It's a REALLY complex track, but we're gonna bring it
to the stage and show it off. Also, we've just left behind the anniversary
of 'Eternal Idol', so there's gonna be some more off that album too like
'Born To Lose'.
"I have to say it's been a hard slog with negotiations and getting visas and
stuff, so we come at VERY short notice and hope to be with you guys in just
under three weeks from now!!!
"We are a couple of members short - normally we like to have more people up
there - but it wasn't possible this time round, but we got it covered.
"We aren't able to bring with us much in the way of visual stuff just
because there is so little time to get it all together, so... it's just the
songs... Me and... well.... I hope.. you guys!!! We're out there 'till the
end of August."
The recording session for the new Tribal Album has been
completed and I've already started mixing the first songs.
Also we've started the recordings for the debut album from
Concept Insomnia.

Im Grunde kann man es mal wieder kurz und schmerzlos machen und nicht über Zeilen hinweg von einem Album schwärmen, denn es ist so einfach, wie die Musik selbst. Schnörkelos, perfekt und auf den Punkt gebracht. Die Stimmung fesselt einen von Sekunde eins an und das Album vergeht wie im Flug, was vorallem an der Einfachheit der Musik liegt, die dennoch eine gewisse Komplexität an den Tag legt, und an der einzigartigen, vermittelten Stimmung.

After comin' home from a wonderful Tour with Razorback I wanted to thank everyone for their fantastic support.

Yeeeehhhaaa. That was a great week in Russia. We played in the Kremlin, Ice Hall in St Petersburg, the Olympic Ice Hall in Moscow and a Club Show in Moscow. Surrounded by lots of TV stuff, Train Ride to St. Petersburg and back, lots of Food, some Vodka etc. it was a fantastic trip.

The third EMPIRE album is in the final stages. I'm mixing the last three titles right now.
A release date has not been set by "AOR Heaven", but they discuss a release in may 2006. Be prepared for a mystic, powerful and fantastic rock album.
After a great week of holidays in GREECE I'm back here working (and trying to get rid of the inheritances by the marvelously greek wine & food for the planned EMPIRE & MAJESTY photosessions).
Right now we have started recording vocals for the upcoming EMPIRE CD which will be out in spring '06.
Tony Martin has done some outstanding vocal performances so far and as far as I can see the third EMPIRE album will be the "BEST" EMPIRE album, ever. It's gonna be a HELL of an album.
The amazing drum parts this time were delivered by my Razorback bandmate Andre Hilgers. (AXXIS & SILENT FORCE).
In december Neil Murray will arrive in my studio to do his Bass parts (Looking forward to this!). Mixing is sheduled for the end of december.
More news on that soon.

I really hope you'll like them. Besides that we are working hard on getting some gigs together for RAZORBACK.
As far as I know the Majesty shedule, there is no more gig planned for this year.
The new Majesty album titled "HELLFORCES" will be out in february. There will be a release party around the release date and possibly a tour in spring next year. So watch out for that. I'll keep you informed.

I think we developed an own and unique RAZORBACK sound. It's gonna be modern, heavy and a bit "pop" in the same time. You will love it. Stefan did some outstanding vocals. We call it LOVE METAL!
Pierre left the Band and we have a new drummer - it's Andre Hilgers, known for his work with SILENT FORCE and AXXIS. Great guy to work with.

This month I'm gonna spend my weekends in Cologne at Stefan Kaufmanns studio to play Rhytm Guitar for the new MAJESTY album. It will be released in the beginning of next year. Solo parts will follow in july.

The year 2004 ended with lots of work and the new year starts with even more.
I worked on ideas for a new EMPIRE album and signed a contract with AOR HEAVEN
for that. Tony Martin will handle all the vocals and Neil Murray will play the Bass.
I was talking to Stefan Berggren and we agreed in doing another RAZORBACK album this year. We will start working on that very soon.
Besides that there is another MAJESTY album planned for that year too.
Details will follow.

just wanted to let you know that I'm busy creating my new studio.
I own now a Amek 36 channel (72 during mixdown) Inline console with mute and volume automation.
I bought some outboard equipment like the SPL "Channel One" tube preamp,
dbx compressors, Rev 7, SRV 2000, SPX 90 etc.
I run a Tascam 24-Track, 24 Bit (up to 96 Khz) digital machine (MX 2424) syncronized with Cubase SX and all its plug-ins on a 1700 Mhz / 1Gb Ram PC with "3" monitors.
Monitoring: JBL TLX 12
I have a seperate recording booth and air condition in booth rooms will be installed shortly.

Also I have changed my guitar amp!!!
I've sold the Rath Amp and playing now - ENGL Savage 120.
This amp is a "monster".

RAZORBACK is the name of the new Band with Stefan Berggren (Ex-Company Of Snakes), Marcus Bielenberg (Ex-Vanize), Pierre Fienhold (Ex-Vanize), Chris Heun (Ex-Shylock) and me.

Also we did some recordings on saturday with some members of the Majesty Fanclub.
They did some "Shouts and Choir" stuff in my studio. We had a fuckin great time with them and I want to thank each and everyone of them for coming and for singing so great. You guys rule.(I,I Born)
Then from the 3rd of August on, we are in Cologne to mix the CD.
It is scheduled for 27th of October on Massacre Records.
It will be out as a CD, Digi Pack and LP.
A Release Party is also planned for the 25th of October in Lauda-Königshofen
(near Würzburg). See you there!

Release Date for EMPIRE 's "TRADING SOULS" album in Europe is 21st April.
I don't wanna be too sentimental but another year is closing its doors and
again that year passed very fast. I had lots of work with the new album
like hard stuff, strange stuff, crazy stuff and funny stuff.
But I had the chance to work again with some extraordinary musicians so that
all of the weird stuff had no chance to make me losing my way. Thank You.
It's so much easier to compose songs if you know they will be played "much better"
than standard.
So I guess, what I wanted to say is that the new album has been finished and
sounds amazing!! I hope you will love it too. I can't wait to share the
music on the new album with YOU!

It was a great pleasure to work with Tony Martin in the studio. We had "lots" of laughs and he did an amazing vocal performance! You'll love it!

I'm sure we will have some fun. It was great the last time! (Especially on the last day when everything was finished, I guess it was a sort of Obstler - 47Vol%)

Neil Murray came on sunday (4th) and left my studio today (9th). He played his Bass tracks on all of the 10 songs. We had a really great and wonderful time with lots of interesting and funny conversations!
So far there is no title for the album. If everything goes along well it will be mixed in november/december. No release date yet!
